✂️ Can I use the booklet's content in my own custom PDF?

Absolutely! 🙌

Just download the booklet PDF from your Lighter Side account, then open it with Adobe Acrobat or any other PDF editor of your choice. This will allow you to make as many customizations as you want. From there, you can:

  • Add additional branding
  • Change layouts or colors
  • Replace imagery
  • Update the copy as needed

💡 Tip: If you’re making major design changes, keep your messaging consistent with the original version to ensure your booklet still resonates with your audience.

🚀 Can I use a fully customized booklet in the platform’s lead gen system?

Yes, you can! 🎯

If you’ve redesigned the booklet (using tools like Canva, InDesign, or a service like Fiverr), you’ll want to upload your custom version to ensure prospects receive your version, not the default one.

🧭 Here’s how to upload your custom booklet:

  • Log in to your Lighter Side account
  • Navigate to the booklet you want to update
  • Select “Lead Gen” from the booklet’s navigation menu
  • Click “Attach Your Own Book” next to the landing page editor
  • Click "Add a file" on the top right
  • ✅ ✅ Double-check that the new thumbnail on the landing page matches the cover of your uploaded PDF
    • This new cover will also appear in article opt-in boxes!

💡 Once uploaded, any prospect who opts in will receive your custom-designed booklet.

✨ Additional Tips for Customizing Your Booklets

  • Stay aligned: Try to preserve the educational value of the original booklet.
  • Use high-quality visuals: Great graphics = great engagement!
  • Proofread: If you are outsourcing your design, review the final product carefully before uploading it.
  • Be consistent: Ensure the cover shown on your lead generation pages matches the actual uploaded PDF.

FAQs

Do I need special software to edit the booklet PDF?

Not necessarily! While Adobe Acrobat works great, other tools like Canva (Pro), Smallpdf, or even Word (converted back to PDF) can also do the job.

Can I offer more than one custom booklet on my landing pages?

Each booklet has its own lead-gen page, so you can upload a different custom version for each one. Just repeat the upload steps outlined above.

What happens if I forget to update the thumbnail after uploading a custom PDF?

The landing page might still show the old default cover. We recommend always confirming that the thumbnail and opt-in box reflect the new design for a consistent brand experience.

Will Lighter Side approve or review my custom uploads?

No formal approval is needed! You're free to upload any custom version you like, as long as it adheres to our terms of use.

Can I revert back to the original Lighter Side version later?

Yes! Just remove the uploaded PDF in the lead gen settings, and the system will default back to the original booklet.

Do you print & distribute Branded Booklets for Lighter Side members?

No, we don’t handle printing or mailing. We focus on what we do best—creating eye-catching, high-converting postcard designs. You’ll receive ready-to-print PDFs, including EDDM sizes, which you can send to any printer you prefer.

What are my printing options?

We recommend using ProspectsPLUS! They offer a special discount for Lighter Side members and make the printing process super easy. Details can be found on our Vendor Deals page.

Can I use a different printing company?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to use any printer you like. If you need suggestions, check out our Inner Circle Engage Facebook group—members often share their go-to vendors.
