Editing your booklet's author page
The author page at the end of each booklet is a great place to let your reader know more about you and how to get in contact with you. The information on the author page is pulled from your Article Branding settings. Here is a list of the article branding fields it displays by default.
- Your headshot
- First and last name
- Company information
- Your title
- Phone number
- Email address
- Personal bio
Feel free to change any of this information on the author page and it will not affect your article branding info.
Click on the “Edit Author Page” button on your booklet editor. Then select the text you wish to change and type away. Afterwards, make sure to click the blue “Save Changes” button at the bottom left of the Author Page editor.
Our PDFs are formatted for letter sized (8.5″ x 11″) paper. If your author page bio is taking up more than one page, then most likely your personal bio information may need to be shortened to fit on one page.
We’re working on an upgrade to allow you to upload a logo to the author page. For now, you can combine your personal branding's headshot and your logo into one image and upload it to your personal branding's Headshot page. This will sync over to your author page as your new photo.
If you need help with combining your images, send the largest versions of your headshot and logo to helpdesk@lightersideofrealestate.com and do this for you as soon as we can.
There is a rare bug and there are two ways you can fix this. The first is to do a hard refresh on the booklet editing page. For a Windows based machine, hold CTRL and hit F5. On a Macintosh machine, hold Command and hit the "R" key. This will refresh the cache on the page and hopefully allow it to register the edits.
If that doesn't work, you will have to use the "Reset to Default" option in order to get the Author Page to save any edits you make to it. Our apologies for having to redo any edits you've made to the body of the booklet. Let us know if this happens and we will help you get it right.
To refresh your Author page on a booklet, select the "Edit Author Page" button and select the button with the circling arrows at the top right.
You may need to refresh your author page. You can do this by selecting the “Edit Author Page” button, and then selecting the button on the right that looks like two circling arrows. This should update your author page with your current personal branding info.
You may save time and apply the changes you made to your author page to all your booklets by clicking the box at the bottom before saving your changes.
