FAQ: Why Do Some Sections Take Up More Than One Page in the PDF but Not in the Preview?
This article explains why booklet sections may appear differently in the editor compared to the final PDF. It covers how the editor's continuous scroll format differs from the PDF's page-by-page layout, why chapters always start on new pages, and how content overflow or formatting can lead to unexpected blank pages. It also offers tips for minimizing layout issues and using the PDF preview tool effectively. A tutorial video and support contact are included for additional help.

❓ Why does my content look different in the editor vs. the final PDF?
Our booklet editor uses a continuous page view, which means each section appears as one long scrolling page for easy editing. However, the final PDF is formatted for standard letter-size printing (8.5" x 11"), which introduces automatic page breaks.
As a result, content that looks like it fits on one screen in the editor may spill over to a new page in the final PDF.
📚 Why do some chapters start on a new page even if there’s room on the previous one?
Each chapter or section in your booklet is designed to start on a new page in the PDF. So even if the previous page has leftover space, the new chapter will begin on a fresh page, potentially leaving a partially blank page before it.
🧾 Why is there a blank page in the middle of my PDF?
A blank-looking page usually happens when:
- A section almost fits on one page but overflows by just a few lines, pushing the remaining content to a new page.
- A large image or too many paragraph breaks create unnecessary white space.
🛠️ How can I minimize or eliminate blank or overflow pages?
Try the following:
- Edit your content: Remove extra paragraph breaks or unnecessary text at the end of the section.
- Reduce image size: Oversized images can push content onto a new page.
- Format consistently: Use standard font sizes, line spacing, and clean paragraph styles.
- Preview often: Use the "Preview PDF" button to see how edits affect the layout in real time.
🧠 Pro Tips:
- Keep section text concise and image placement strategic.
- Aim for visual balance rather than packing every page edge-to-edge.
- Use preview mode like a proofreader—it’s your best friend for layout checking!
