🔴 What Red Text Means
As you explore the editor, you’ll notice that some text appears in red. This is intentional.
- Red text indicates required edits — think of it as a built-in “to-do list.”
- You’ll also see red icons next to chapters in the Table of Contents to guide your attention to incomplete sections.
- Once you’ve edited the content, the red text will automatically display in the correct color when the PDF is generated.
👉 Pro tip: Red text won’t show up in the final version — just the editor!
✍️ Customizing Text Formatting
Currently, the editor has some formatting limitations:
- Line Spacing: You can’t adjust full paragraph spacing, but you can insert single line breaks using Shift + Enter.
- Fonts & Sizes: Font type and size can't be changed in the editor itself.
✅ Workaround: Download the finished booklet as a PDF, then open it in your preferred word processor (like Word or Google Docs) to fully customize fonts, layouts, or add visuals.
🖼️ Adding Images (Coming Soon!)
While the current editor doesn't support image uploads directly into the booklet content, we're actively working on a feature that will let you add images within the body of the text. Stay tuned for this exciting upgrade!
🔍 Spellcheck & Text Tools
The editor doesn’t include:
- Built-in spellcheck
- Find & replace functionality
Here’s how you can work around this:
- Use a browser extension with spellcheck support
- Or copy your text into a word processor (like Microsoft Word or Google Docs) to check spelling, run a grammar check, or replace words — then paste the updated text back into the editor.
🧠 Tip: If you’re making a lot of edits, it’s smart to draft in a word processor first, then paste the polished version into the editor.

FAQs
Why is some of the text still red even after I’ve edited it?
The red text in the editor is just a placeholder cue. It won’t turn black in the editor, but it will display correctly in your final PDF once you’ve added your content.
I made updates to a chapter, but the red icon is still showing in the Table of Contents — is something wrong?
Not necessarily. The red icon appears if any required placeholder text in that chapter is still untouched. Double-check that you’ve edited or replaced all red-highlighted text inside that chapter.
Can I paste content I wrote elsewhere into the booklet editor?
Yes! You can copy and paste text from another document (like Google Docs or Word). Just be sure to format it with Shift + Enter for clean spacing and remove any leftover placeholder content.
Will formatting (like bold, italics, bullet points) carry over if I paste from Word?
Not all formatting will carry over perfectly. Bold and italics often do, but bullet points or indentation may need slight adjusting once pasted into the editor.
I downloaded my PDF and noticed typos — can I go back and fix them?
Yes! Just return to your booklet editor, make your changes, and re-download the PDF. There’s no limit to how many times you can update your booklet before publishing or printing.
