How to customize your blog site

When you share an article from the Lighter Side marketing platform, your audience on the social account you published it to will be directed to the article on your blog site where they will see your personal branding as if you authored it.

There are multiple ways you can personalize your blog site with your branding.

• First, the URL: The basic website for member blogs is bestrealestateblog.com. When you become a member, we'll create a unique address for your blog using your first and last name. However, you can change your subdomain if you prefer something else.
• Next, the header and navigation menu: This is where you can add your own image, name, blog title, and even a link to your listings. You can also include a contact form and a way for potential clients to request a CMA (Comparative Market Analysis).
• Then, the colors: You can match your blog's colors to your company's branding or choose something that reflects your style.
• Finally, the sidebar: This is where you can showcase your headshot, contact info, bio, and any professional designations or licenses you hold. You can also include links to your website and social media profiles.

Ready to get started?

In this support document we will discuss how to customize your blog domain name, header, and colors. Please open your account’s blog settings page. (If you are looking for instructions for personalizing the sidebar, open this document.)

You can edit your custom, public-facing blog site address under the “General” tab in the blog settings page submenu.

Note: this can only be done once so please double check your spelling. Once replaced with the new link you should be all set to use it in your marketing.

Here you will find options to:

1. Upload a different image for your header (to the left of the title)
2. Change the blog title. There are 3 lines for you to edit. (see image below)
3. Add your personalization to the site footer.

You can edit your site colors under the “Color theme” tab in the blog settings page submenu.

4. There is a mini-preview window showing an example article for you to see how your changes will look in real time.
5. Pro tip:  Select the “Default theme” dropdown menu to choose from a list of common real estate companies color themes.
