10. How we keep the vibe alive in our Inner Circle Engage group
It may sound cliché, but the Inner Circle is like a family.
And to that extent, our member’s only Facebook group, Inner Circle Engage, is what we consider our living room. It’s where we all hang out and socialize. (Probably more than we should at times. lol)
Now, you probably already belong to other real estate groups on Facebook, right?
Which means you’re no stranger to negativity, one-upmanship, self-promotion, and know-it-all agents that seem to take over so many online groups.
The Inner Circle Engage group is different…
We never planned on the group being such a huge part of what agents love about their membership… but it is.
From day one this group has had a different vibe. Everyone is super welcoming. Super helpful. Never judgmental, angry, snarky, or snide.
We’re all about preserving this vibe, so we encourage everyone to come from a place of contribution when posting.
Here's what to do
Part #1 - Etiquette
- If you haven’t already, join our Facebook group.
- Add to the conversation! Post your own helpful thoughts, tips, and stories!
- Important: Read our rant policy. We keep the rant posts in the group to a minimum by providing one specific rant thread where everyone can go and let out their frustrations.
So, if you’re ever in that kind of mood and need to vent about something that happened in your business, go to this thread and let it rip!
Part #2 - Explore the Group File archive
There’s a ton of great stuff in it — from transaction checklists to buyer & seller packets — but it’s hidden away from view. We found that many members didn’t even know it existed. And those that did rarely peered inside.
Go to the Inner Circle Engage files archive.
Scroll through and make a note of the things you can use now or in the future.
- (Optional) If you have anything you think other members will find useful, feel free to put it in there!
Part #3 - How to find buried gems in the group
In time all the good posts get buried. So watch this quick tutorial of a few tips ‘n tricks for how to navigate the group a little easier. You might be aware of some of these, but I bet not all of them, so listen to the end.
- If you know any tips we didn’t cover, please share them in the group!
P.S. Here’s some feedback agents have given about the group, just to give you a sense of what you’re in for!
“I find myself always checking out what’s going on in this group of fun people, and I lose track of time. I spend more time here then on my own FB page. Anybody else find this happening????” - Shelley LaFleur-Simpson
“Happy Sunday ICErs! I love this group! The energy, vibe and encouragement has changed my mentality and business so much this year. You guys are awesome!” - Amanda Zito
“Quick tip: Don't poke your head into Inner Circle as you lay down to go to sleep. Unless you didn't really want to go to sleep. If you WANT to go to sleep...perhaps try some other real estate groups. (I won't name names.)” - Joe Kerouac
“You guys~ I LIVE to read these posts! 🤗 I literally go through the entire emotional spectrum with each scroll. Keep it up ICE-ers! You guys rock! ” - Tiffany McGuinness
“Just wanted to say that I love this group, I just removed myself from another real estate group on FB (a big one... LCA) Because everyone in there is just so negative. I'm very very happy to be part of our group. Sharing ideas, keeping things positive, marketing tips, funny stories, war stories and truly sharing with each other the....Lighter Side of Real Estate 😎( see what I did there) Hope everyone is having a great Friday night, have a great weekend everyone!” - Gino Montalvo
“Have to make a confession and Thank Y'all... about a week ago I lost my mind and joined two new groups, One Real Estate and one GARDENING. The Real Estate one I had to remove myself from in two days, and the Gardening one six days after joining. PEOPLE ARE CRAZY. Oops Sorry.... I'm still shaking my head from all the self-induced drama they all make with each other. You guys, this group, make my heart happy. I just have to remind you what a blessing it is to have real conversations, and to be able to help one another, as civil like minded Adults. You guys have done good. Real Good. Have a great Tuesday, everyone.” - Cindy Scott Benton
“Just curious. I am a screen shot junkie. Just went through my screen shots for the previous 7 days, ONLY in regards to this group. 39. Thirty Nine. Y'all. The ideas and collaboration available to us in here is astounding. I'd love to know if I'm alone in this crazy screen shot world, haha. But for real. Thank you. The knowledge gained in my FIRST MONTH as a member has been mind blowing.” - Renee Broach
