There are a few different ways to potentially generate leads from the Lighter Side articles you post. We’re not in the leads business. We focus on helping you stay top-of-mind and brand yourself as a fun yet professional agent.


So, while we don’t promise you a ton of leads (we’ll leave that to the true “lead gen” companies), our members do snag leads from their shared articles. Think of our lead gen tools as a bonus—one that’s worth using!

📨 Use Contact Forms on Each Article Page

Many articles are designed to establish your authority as the agent sharing them. This often inspires readers to reach out with questions. Each article includes built-in contact forms so prospects can easily connect with you:

    • One contact form is displayed in the top heading
    • Another is displayed in the sidebar beneath your branding information

🏡 Use CMAs as a Lead Magnet on Your Articles

People love Zillow because they want to know their home’s value—not because of its accuracy.

Instead of sending them there, you can offer a CMA directly on your articles.


How to enable it:

  • Go to Blog Settings
  • Scroll to Generate CMA leads from articles
  • Toggle the switch to the On position

Once enabled:

  • A CMA button will display in the article’s top heading
  • You’ll also get a direct URL that drives traffic to a CMA landing page

⚠️ Note: Our system does not auto-estimate values. You’ll still need to perform the CMA yourself once someone requests it.


📘 Use Branded Booklets as Lead Magnets on Your Articles

Share articles that include an opt-in box for readers to request one of your branded booklets. In exchange for their contact info, they’ll receive a free downloadable copy of your booklet.

How to set it up:

  • Go to the Branded Booklet section and open the booklet you want to offer
  • Click Lead Gen > Article Opt-In Forms
  • Toggle on Offer this booklet on articles you share
  • (Optional) Edit the Thank You email prospects receive after submitting the form


To display the opt-in on a specific article:

  • Visit the Articles section and choose the article
  • Click the Lead Gen button in the article’s title
  • Toggle on Lead Gen Opt-In Forms
  • Select the booklet you want to offer


The opt-in box will now appear at the bottom of that article.


FAQ


Can I select more than one booklet for an article?

No. Only one booklet can be tied to a specific article at a time.


I want to offer a different booklet on a specific article, but I don’t see it listed.

Make sure you’ve toggled that booklet on under Lead Gen > Article Opt-In Forms. Once enabled, it will appear in the dropdown list.


How will I know when someone requests one of my booklets?

You’ll receive an email notification with the lead’s name and email address whenever someone fills out the form.


What if I’m not receiving lead emails?

First, check your spam/junk folder. If they’re landing there, whitelist our email address so messages go directly to your inbox. Whitelisting instructions for your email provider can easily be found online.
